I received the following e-mail today. I do not find either
Ruan/Rheuanna/Roseanna CARLOCK or her husband John G. DAVIS in my database
at this time. Does anyone else have any information about this individual
or her family?
Frederick CARLOCK/CARELOCK (s/o David GERLACH/CARLOCK, Hans GERLACH), 1729 -
1792, and several members of his family were living in or near Cabarrus Co.,
NC, in 1785.
Frederick's grandson Ebenezer "Eber" CARLOCK (s/o George), b. 1793 - 1799,
NC, also migrated to Union Co., IL. He married his first wife Nellie
CORZINE, Nov. 8, 1815, in Cabarrus Co., NC. I have them listed as having a
daughter named Ruie CARLOCK who m. John H. CORZINE, Jan. 2, 1840, Union Co.,
IL; and d. ca. Feb. 1840, Union Co., IL. Perhaps this Ruie CARLOCK was
named after an older member of her father's family.

Subject: Carlock genealogy
I am researching the Carlock family in Cabarrus Co., N.C.
I am researching the wife of John G. Davis. I believe her to be
Ruan/Rheuanna/Roseanna Carlock, born circa 1785 in Cabarrus Co. She married
John G. Davis in 1802 in Cabarrus Co. I have not been able to find the
names of her parents. John G. Davis and Ruan/Rheuanna/Roseanna moved to
Union Co., Illinois circa 1826.
If you have come across any information on this Carlock family, I
would
appreciate hearing from you.
