I am decended from William Wiley West's brother Samuel. I have an
extensive file entitled "Six Generations of William Wiley West and Rhoda
Arena Carlock" The file was compiled by Carl Hamilton of Kerrville, TX,
who is now deceased.
I remember visiting Uncle Wile, as he was called, when I was a young
girl.
He was near 100 years old at that time and in a wheel chair. He
lived to
within 6 months of being w00.. I remember thinking at the time of his
death that it was so sad he didin't reach his 100th birthday. He died in
July of 1954.
William Wiley was one of seven boys and one girl who was raised in a very
small log cabin on Petit Jean Mountain in Conway County, AR. The cabin is
now a part of Petit Jean Mountain State Park and is designated the West
Cabin. Six of the seven brothers are buried on the mountain. William's
parents were Owen and Jane (Jennie) McClure West. Owen's parents were
John
and Elizabeth Frazier West. I have a lot of information about them
and
will be happy to share. They are all buried on Petit Jean Mountain. The
mountain is a wonderful place to visit.
I will contact Carl's widow for permission to make copies of this file and
if it is given, I will be happy to make copies of this file and mail just
for coping and postage costs. It is 122 pages so would be cost
prohibitive
for me to do free gratis. If I can find the time, I will enter all
the
info into my FTM and send Gedcoms.

Grandfather, if you are talking about the Gibson County, TN William Wiley
West. My Great Grandfather is A.D. West, and my Grandmother was his
daughter, Lona (Newman) West. I am at work, and don't have my books at
hand. But I have extensive info from WW West on down. I also have a
little info on his father, my 3rd Great.
