Susan,
Thanks for running this obit. I was waiting till the family sent us the newspaper
writing. Mr. Carlock was my husband's uncle. One thing that was not stated was that
Mr. Carlock was a fine cake decorator. He fried donuts for the donut shop till he was 91.
A very active man having worn out one stationary bicycles and his son had gotten him
another.
A very fine Christian man. Very kind and thoughtful. Loved by many.
Missed by all.

Arthur Allen Carlock, born December 27, 1906 in Crossett, Ashley Co., Arkansas, was the
son of Alfred Cornelius Carlock and Myrtle Bell McClain Carlock. Preceded in death by his
wife Lela Josephine Lander Carlock, and his brothers and sisters.

BORGER - Arthur A. Carlock, 94, died Monday, July 9, 2001.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Simmons,
pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mr. Carlock retired in 1973 after 20 years at Phillips Petroleum Co. He also retired from
Mr. Treat Donuts. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Glynn Carlock of Borger; a brother, Morris Carlock of Chandler,
Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Gideon's International, Box 5800, Borger, TX
79008-5800.
