With regard to the CARLOCK listings found at the following site:
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ilgssi/gazette/obit_1896-1897.htm
Can anyone identify the Jasper CARLOCK whose 7-year-old son died July 4,
1896, and is buried in the Anna Cemetery? Two possibilities are:
1. John F. "Jasper" CARLOCK, b. 1853, Union Co., IL; m. Elizabeth A.
"Lizzie" MAY, Nov. 19, 1874; d. after 1928. The 1900 census shows 4 of 6
children born to Lizzie to be living at the time of the 1900 census.
2. William Jasper "Jasper" CARLOCK, b. 1852 - 1853, Union Co., IL; m. Sara
PETERSON, Dec. 2, 1883, Union Co., IL; d. ca. 1900. Pages 622 - 623 of the
book "History of the Carlock Family," only list one adult daughter for
Jasper. I have not yet located this family on the 1900 census.
