This is a follow-up to my Sept. 17, 2007, posting to the RootsWeb CARLOCK Message Board
titled "Re: Dale Terry CARLOCK, (1929? - 2007) of Tyler, TX."
According to my records, Charles H. CARLOCK (1888 - 1969) and his wife Iva M. (b. May 14,
1899, KS; d. Dec. 1977) had the following four children:
1. Donald Lee "Don" CARLOCK, b. July 21, 1927, MO; d. Nov. 27, 1975. Don m.
Margaret Ann "Peg" MILLER, July 3, 1947, Independence, Jackson Co., MO.
Margaret Ann "Peg" MILLER, d/o Karl Linton MILLER and Maria Frances NEIL; b.
June 7, 1930, Independence, Jackson Co., MO; d. Mar. 8, 1992, Orlando, Orange Co., FL.
Margaret m. #2 Ernest "Ernie" L'HEUREUX, 1978, Winter Park, Orange Co., FL.
2. Dale Terry "Terry" CARLOCK, b. Aug. 28, 1929, Independence, Jackson Co., MO;
d. Aug. 18, 2007. Terry m. Evelyn Iola "Iola," b. May 22, 1925; d. Oct. 12,
2005.
3. Wanda CARLOCK, b. after 1929, probably Jackson Co., MO; m. ROWAN. Residence
Independence, Jackson Co., MO, 2007, 2008.
4. Jo Ann CARLOCK, b. after 1929, probably Jackson Co., MO, m. Jim HALL. Residence,
Independence, Jackson Co., MO, 2007.
Charles appears to have been erroneously listed as Charles C. CARLOCK on page 553 of the
book "History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929. A
photograph of his tombstone can be found on the Find a Grave site, listing his middle
initial as "H" instead of "C." I have located Charles on the 1900
census for Polk Township, Dade Co., MO, and the 1930 census for Blue, Jackson Co., MO, but
I have not yet located him on the 1910 and 1920 censuses.
I show Charles's CARLOCK lineage as follows:
Hans Peter GERLOCH/GERLACH
David GERLACH/CARLOCK
Hanchrist CARLOCK
Isaac CARLOCK
Lemuel Lewis (or S.) CARLOCK
Ashel Lacon CARLOCK
Charles H. CARLOCK
Please let me know if anyone locates Charles on the 1910 or 1920 censuses, and, if so,
where he was living at the time.
