I believe John D. Carlock was brother to my William Vance Carlock since
Wm. sold his land in Stoddard Co., MO, to John D. Carlock. John D. is
the proven son of David Carlock, Warren Co., KY. Because of this land
transaction and the fact that my William Vance Carlock named a son
David, I believe they were both sons of David Carlock. I may never be
able to prove it. Thanks to L. Pietrus for sending me the early
Simpson Co., KY, tax lists.
