My head has been swimming all week, trying to straighten out the
relationship and inter-relationship of all these Carlocks near David in
Warren Co., KY. I hope I have it all straight now. Below is the
chronology of Margaret Carlock, probable dtr. of David & Elizabeth
Carlock of KY & TX. (By the way, many of those who intermarried with
Margaret Carlock's family in TX were from directly across the TX line
in LA.
1806: Logan/Warren Co., KY, Margaret Carlock married Barnabus Farr
Lowe. His sister, Nancy Greer Lowe, was the mother of Polly Gibson who
married Margaret Carlock's brother, John D. Carlock.
Further, in 1804, Margaret's sister Mary Carlock had married Thomas
Heffington/Hefferton in Logan/Warren Co., KY. Thomas Heffington's
brother, Stephen, married Fanny Gilliland. Fanny Gilliland's sister
Mary Ann married Barnabus Farr Lowe's brother John Farr Lowe.
Go figure!

Warren/Spencer (formerly Logan and Lincoln) Co., KY, census as follows:

1 male 1-16 - son William Vance probably (he m. c. 1820 in MO)

1812: Sept. 18 - Oct. 30. Barny Low, Private, served in Capt. John
Williams Co. of KY Mounted Militia, commanded by Lt.-Col. Young Ewing.
1813: Aug. 20 - Nov. 13. Barnabus Lowe served as a musician
(extremely important for morale going into battle) under Capt. Wm.
Berryman's KY Mounted Volunteer Militia, commanded by Col. Wm.
Willilams.
1818: Nov. 11, Margaret's probable mother Elizabeth Carlock,
apparently now widowed, sold to Johnson Gaither 124 acres for $400.
Bounded on NW corner by William Lynch, the abutting corner of James
Williams and the line of WILLIAM LOW/LOWE. Witnesses: William Lynch,
JOHN CARLOCK, William Hendricks.
William Lowe was the father of Margaret's husband, Barnabus Lowe. In
other words, Margaret lived next door to her future husband growing up.
William Lowe was also the father of Nancy Greer Lowe who m. Jacob
Gibson. Jacob's sister Polly married John Carlock who witnessed the
above land transaction.

In HH 117, pg. 219/451, was the following:
Nathaniel Addison, b. LA, age 40 (b. 1810)
Margaret Addison, b. KY, age 36 (b. 1814)
several Addison children
NATHANIEL KERLOCK, b. TX, age 2
Who was Nathaniel? He later went by last name of Addison.
1856: The grandson of Margaret Carlock's probable brother, George B.
Carlock, through son Abraham, married Martha B. Jordan. Martha was
brother to two of Margaret's grandsons-in-law through dtr. Polly.
1859: December in Alabama, Barney Lowe, mechanic, age 76, died of "old
age." [Source: Alabama Mortality Schedule for 1860, County Unknown]
