I am able to identify all of the individuals named on the tombstones except the Jackie M.
CARLOCK, b. and d. 1934, as mentioned in my previous posting at the following site:
http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.carlock/511.1/mb.ashx
All of the above-mentioned individuals whom I have identified so far are members of the
John Robert CARLOCK (1835 - 1915) family. John's brother William Thomas CARLOCK (1839
- 1926) also migrated to Johnson Co., Texas. John and William were both born in Simpson
Co., KY, sons of George Washington CARLOCK/CARELOCK and Catherine "Kitty"
Virginia READ.
John, his parents, and some of his siblings can be found pictured on page 439 of the book
"History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929. Although the
captions for the photographs of brother Luther Carel CARLOCK and half-brother James Henry
CARLOCK include the words "Johnson Co., Texas," my records instead show Luther
as having migrated to Cooke Co., TX, and James to have died in Warren Co., KY. I have not
yet found any record of either Luther or James being in Johnson Co., TX. Can anyone
verify whether or not the photograph labeled as James Henry CARLOCK located at the bottom
of that page is instead a photograph of William Thomas CARLOCK of Johnson Co., TX?
The relationship of Johnson Co., TX, and Cooke Co., TX, to each other can be seen in the
maps found at the following site, with Cooke Co. located in the top map, on the Oklahoma
border, and Johnson Co. located at the top of the second map, three counties south of
Cooke Co, with the town of Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., in between:

These families can also be found in the following report which appears on my home page:
http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/t/i/l/Susan-E-Tilleman/GENE18-...
Within that report I have their lineage as follows:
Hans GERLACH
David GERLACH/CARLOCK
Hanchrist CARLOCK
Lemuel CARLOCK
possibly John CARLOCK
George Washington CARLOCK/CARELOCK
John Robert CARLOCK and William Thomas CARLOCK
See my previous postings to the RootsWeb CARLOCK mailing list for an explanation of why I
use the word "possibly" before John and William's grandfather John
CARLOCK's name. The book "History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy
CARLOCK, 1929, does list John as son of Lemuel. I would be interested in any
documentation verifying this relationship.
I am a distant cousin to these CARLOCKs, descended from Hanchrist's brother
Frederick.
