Does anyone have any additional information that could help us connect Elizabeth to the
rest of the CARLOCK family?

Subject: Re: [CARLOCK] John CARLOCK (b. ca. 1768) m. Wilhelmina
There is one more Carlock in Franklin County, Ms., that adds more confusion to the family.
Elizabeth Carlock was somehow related to these Carlocks. She was born in Tennessee in
1810, married John Rhodes (Jack) Parker in 1835 in Amite County, Ms., and was my
gggrandmother. My father remembered from his youth in Franklin County having a family of
Carlock relatives visit their home, but was too young at the time to remember who they
were. However, since the census lists only relatives of Joseph S. Carlock in the area,
Elizabeth must have been related to Joseph S. Carlock also. And one of the descendants of
Joseph S. Carlock, Elizabeth Dicey Carlock, had a family bible that listed the children of
Elizabeth (Carlock) Parker and John Rhodes (Jack) Parker.
I believe that Elizabeth Carlock moved from Tennessee to Franklin County, Ms., with the
other Carrlocks and was either a sister to William, Martha, and Joseph S. Carlock, or was
their cousin.
Any light that can be shed on this family connection would be appreciated.
Regards from Texas,
Warren R. Parker
