This is in reply to Audraperdue's Mar. 7, 2014, posting titled "SEARCHING FOR DIO
CLEASE JACKSON'S AND OMA MARCELLA RUNYAN'S PARENTS."
Have you seen the following 2000 posting to the RootsWeb JACKSON Message Board on the same
subject?
CHILDERS, Cindy (cdchild(a)sbcglobal.net), Sept. 19, 2000, posting to the RootsWeb JACKSON
Message Board titled "Jackson Family History,"
http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.jackson/3589/mb.ashx.
Looking back at that posting, I do not yet see any replies that answer your question about
the ancestry of David JACKSON and his wife Mary M. CARLOCK. However, note that the author
of that posting wrote, "We think they were from Arkansas and then came to
Oklahoma."
Please be careful not to confuse Dio's father with David JACKSON who married Mary
Malinda "Polly" CARLOCK, d/o Hanchrist CARLOCK and Sarah WHITMAN, who was born
in 1730 and died in 1833, near Jacksonville, Morgan Co., IL.
Records on the FamilySearch site show that Dio JACKSON was born 26 May 1883, in Sherman,
Grayson Co., TX; m. Omer RUNYAN, 3 Dec 1905, Carter Co., OK; and d. Feb 1964, possibly in
CA. I find Dio, Oma, and their daughter Vera on the 1910 census for Roswell, Chaves Co.,
NM.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate Dio on the 1900 census. Have you been able
to locate him on the 1900 census?
