Thanks to Linda's (oldretcop(a)consolidated.net) help in locating the William STEINHAGE
family on the 1900 census, as well as a marriage record for William STEINHAGE and Emilie
KAMPWERTH in the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, I now show the following for this
family and their descendants. William and Amelia's sons took the surname of their
stepfather Ulyssis Grant "Grant" CARLOCK (s/o Joseph A. CARLOCK; Jacob
"Jake" CARLOCK, Sr.; Hanchrist CARLOCK; David GERLACH/CARLOCK; Hans Peter
