they offer book or CD. Read their policy page for a description of how they copy from
their original source, for if it is in bad condition, the copy will not be good,
especially when it comes to photos.
The CD does not appear to be searchable. However, it is possible that in the near future,
you may be able to find software that will be able to scan the images on the CD and
convert them to text. The Carlock CD is $34.25.
Keep in mind that a CD is not a permanent storage medium, and just as it is difficult to
find hardware to play 78 RPM records or 8 track tapes, it is possible that the CD format
will also become obsolete.
I have personally ordered books from Higginson, but have not yet dealt with Quintin
Publications.
