Seeking any documented information about Lemuel CARLOCK (s/o Hanchrist CARLOCK and Susan
WITMER), b. 1750, Augusta Co., VA. According to pages 436 and 437 of the book
"History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929, Lemuel was
"killed by Indians during Revolution." Page 437 also lists him as having the
following sons:
"1. Joseph, b. 1780, in southwestern Va.; d. after 1823; Private War 1812, Capt. Wm.
Dooley's Co. McGrory's Regiment West Tenn. Militia Inf.
2. John, b. 1782, in southwestern Va.; d. Allen Co., Ky., 1848, Private War 1812, Capt.
John Williams, Ky. Mounted Militia Volunteers (Ewing's Reg.)"
