It seems very likely that Clarence CARLOCK (1894 - 1966) of Missouri and Iowa was related
to the CARLOCK family of Gentry County, Missouri, but I have not yet been able to
determine the names of his parents.
I did find the following record which shows Clarence living in Gentry County, Missouri, in
1917: Missouri Secretary of State (
http://www.sos.mo.gov/, ), Internet, Soldiers'
Records: War of 1812 - World War I, listing for Clarence CARLOCK.
Furthermore, Stella Bly CARLOCK HAND (1879 - 1953) of Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, named one
of her sons Clarence. Stella was a daughter of Uriah Wells CARLOCK (1847 - 1904) of
Gentry County, Missouri. Uriah's father and grandfather had migrated to Gentry
County, Missouri, in 1842.
So far I have not yet been able to locate Clarence on the 1900, 1910, or 1920 censuses. I
also have not yet found a World War I draft card for him.
