1922 "accident" (possibly hit by train)
Henry Sylvester Carlock was Victor Deo Carlock my dad's father.
Henry
died on July 28,1921 when my Dad was 3 months old. He died when he fell
into a tank in an industrial accident at work I believe in Monroe,
Louisiana. My father did mention the Shoemaker's, also Lena and Dicey. I
do not know how Ben died. What is the blueangel website?

Edie:
According to the following source, Benjamin "Ben" CARLOCK's son Henry
Sylvester CARLOCK d. in an "accident," July, 1922:

If either Ben and Henry were killed in the same "accident" or the train
accident which you have heard about was in reference to Henry instead of
Ben, you may want to narrow your search to July 1922 newspaper articles.
Please let me know if you find anything.

Ben, and their families on the 1900 census for Knoxville, Franklin Co.,
MS.
I also located Ben's brother Robert and his family living near
these same
families.

MONTGOMERY was apparently Ransom G. CARLOCK who m. Catherine MONTGOMERY,
July 30, 1862, Franklin Co., MS. I do not yet have a death date for
Ransom,
but it would appear that he probably died prior to 1871, when Ben
and
Catherine's daughter Dicey was born. Based on the timeframe, it is
possible
that Ransom could have been a Civil War fatality.

> Lena was daughter of Ben Carlock and Sarah Catherine "Kate"
Montgomery,
who was married first to Ben's older brother. I saw a picture of
Lena
with
her brother Henry, on the blueangel website. I think he must be who
Lena's
daughter called Uncle Bud--she named Aunt Dicey, Martha Jane, and
Uncle
Bud,
as Lena's siblings. The histories I have seen online, mention
Dicey and
Henry as children of Ben and Sarah, but not Lena! Lena and Martin
Shoemaker
were living in the same neighborhood with Dicey Norris, and Ben
Carlock,
in
1900.
