Since the photo says "a Burning Bush baptism", I assume it was that church,
I can try to scan the picture, if there is somebody that can put it on the
Walker County and Dade County site. I also have some obits from the Walker
County Messenger that I had started keeping in a scrapbook, they are
probably from 2001 - I also have some from The Phenix Citizen, Phenix City,
Al., for the same year. This photo was taken in 1920 but was in the paper
Feb 13, 2002.

This is in reply to Delilah's (diamond6468(a)mindspring.com) July 2, 2006,
posting to the RootsWeb Walker Co., GA, list titled "photo." The Lestol
CARLOCK listed was probably Lestol Selmon CARLOCK, s/o Luther Henry CARLOCK
and Emma Florence MCDANIEL, b. 22 Sept. 1907; residence Ringgold, Catoosa
Co., GA; d. Oct. 1982, possibly Ringgold, Catoosa Co., GA. The Harvey
CARLOCK "of Chickamauga" who submitted the photo and information was
probably Lestol's brother Harvey James CARLOCK, b. 12 - 16 Jan. 1915;
residence Ringgold, Catoosa Co., GA; d. Oct. 1986. This family appears on
page 444 of the book "History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy
CARLOCK, 1929.
For further information about this family, see the following report which
appears on my home page:

Any additions or corrections to the information contained in the
above-mentioned report would be greatly appreciated.

Stella and Dollie Cain were members of Peavine Baptist Church and the Rev.
Syler was a pastor. Some of the other names are familiar.
The other church could be Burning Bush Baptist (Catoosa County) which is
nearby.

Ringgold ( but closer to Rock Spring)

All of these seem to be standing infront of a lake to be Baptised, there are
others it appears that are behind and alond the side of the lake, most of
those are unrecognizable.
