This is a follow-up to my Dec. 16, 2007, posting titled "Woodrow Wilson CARLOCK (1913
- 1994)."
I show Woodrow Wilson "Woody" CARLOCK, Sr.'s, lineage as follows:
Hans Peter GERLOCH/GERLACH
David GERLACH/CARLOCK
Hanchrist CARLOCK
Jacob "Jake" CARLOCK, Sr.
Jacob C. CARLOCK, Jr.
William V. C. CARLOCK
John C. CARLOCK
Thomas Theodore CARLOCK
Woodrow Wilson "Woody" CARLOCK, Sr.
It appears that Woodrow's father Thomas Theodore CARLOCK was married twice, with
Woodrow's mother being Thomas's second wife, Thursie Ann WILLIAMS (1887 - 1919),
who is buried, along with her daughter Lorena CARLOCK (1918 - 1919) in the Pleasant Hill
Cemetery, Nevada, Collin Co., TX. It appears that Thursie was also the mother of
Woodrow's sisters (twins ?) Iola and Viola CARLOCK (b. 1914 - 1915).
Thomas's first wife and the mother of his older children was Mary E. WHITE (b. Oct.
1875, MS), who appears with Thomas on the 1900 census for Union Co., MS. I have not yet
been able to find Thomas's family on the 1910 census. He was listed as a widower at
the time of the 1920 census for Collin Co., TX. Also living in Thomas's household at
the time of the 1920 census was his brother Jack CARLOCK. Thomas was living in Baylor
Co., TX, at the time of the 1930 census.
Has anyone else been able to locate Thomas and his family on the 1910 census? They were
probably still living in Mississippi at that time since his son Woodrow is listed as
having been born in Mississippi in 1913.
I have also not yet been able to locate the burial sites for Thomas and his first wife
Mary.
