According to page 617 of the book "History of the Carlock Family," John CARLOCK,
Jr. (s/o John, George, Frederick, David) m. his first cousin Fannie "Frank"
CARLOCK (d/o Cornelius CARLOCK/CARELOCK and Matilda PYRON), lived in Tate and Panola
Counties, MS, was a large plantation owner, and d. 1875. According to the "FTM
Marriage Index: AR, MS, MO, TX, 1766 - 1981," disk, they were married June 26, 1847,
Marshall Co., MS.
According to Old Tishamongo Co., MS, marriage bonds, listed at the following site, a
Frances CARLOCK m. a James MCELHANNON, 11 Feb. 1854:
http://www.freedom2000net.com/userpages/genealogy/Tishom/marg50.html
According to the following query, James D. MCELHANNON died in the Civil War. This same
query refers to Frances as Frances I. CARLOCK.

F. I. CARLOCK, widow, with son J. F. CARLOCK (John F. CARLOCK) and 3 other individuals
living in the same household, can be found on the 1880 census for Senatobia, Tate Co., MS,
at the following site:

Can anyone confirm whether or not the 1875 death date is correct for John CARLOCK, Jr.? I
am attempting to determine whether or not these two Frances I. CARLOCKs are the same
individual. The fact that John and Frances are only known to have had the one child, born
in 1848, makes me wonder if the 1875 death date is incorrect and John actually died
sometime during the years 1850 - 1854.
A John CARLOCK is listed in the 1850 Northern Marshall Co., MS, Census Index as being
listed on page 289, but I do not have easy access to most of the censuses at this time.
Son John's death listing, located at the following site, says that he moved to Tate
Co., MS, in 1852:
