This is in response to the obituary of Ermal Manning CARLOCK of Vista, CA,
which was posted to the CARLOCK Obituary Board on Sept. 2, 2000, and to this
list on Sept. 4, 2000. Ermal appears on page 459 of the book "History of the
Carlock Family", by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929. According to the same
book, his lineage is as follows:

ERMAL CARLOCK, 79
VISTA -- Ermal Manning Carlock, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at his home.
Born April 10, 1921, in Queen City, Mo., he lived in Vista for 18 years. He
was a production planner for McDonnell Douglas for 30 years and served in the
U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Carlock was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Isabell Carlock, in
1988. He is survived by his sons, Larry Carlock of Vista, Ronald Carlock of
Carlsbad and Jimmy Carlock of Fallbrook; sister Helen Barrett of Boise,
Idaho; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 1, at Fallbrook
Masonic Cemetery, with the Rev. Glenn Bechthold officiating.
Allen Brothers Mortuary, Vista Chapel, is handling arrangements.
