Page 436 of the book "History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy
CARLOCK, 1929, says that the Anglicized version of Hanchrist CARLOCK's (s/o
David) name was "John Christian," and that he was "added to tithables
Augusta Co., Va., 1750." The list of his descendants begins on that same
page. They can also be found in the following report which appears on my

The above-mentioned report begins with David's father, Hans GERLACH, who is
not mentioned in the book "History of the Carlock Family."
