Does anyone know why there isn't any information on William Henry Carlisle
born December 30, 1819 to Coleman Carlisle and Joanna Lewis Brown? Coleman has
lots of descendants and much is known about a great many of them.
In Coleman's will he leaves William his "plantation, lands, his watch and his
silver mounted gun." The rest of his children get books, ten bucks, feather
beds, crop tools, livestock, furniture and a pat on the back.
I realize that some of the other children were older and had their own things
by then, but it is curious why this child, when some of the others had such
pleasant personalities, had made names for themselves, etc. would be Coleman's
chosen one, and then there's nothing about him anywhere.
Does anyone know why? Did he marry? Did he have any descendants? Where was
the plantation? What happened to the "silver mounted gun"? Wouldn't it be
fun
to see it?
It's just curious!
