The name George Washington Carlisle caught my attention as well.
The one we are interested in was born 1859 near Beech Grove, Coffee Co., Tenn.. and
he died after 1895
His family lines go back into GA & SC & 1795
G.W.C. had a son John Wm.Carlisle who died in Coffee Co.,TN in 1965
Does this connect to any of those folks who are also interested in the name of Geo.W.
Carlisle?
Always looking for "lost" cousins.

Because my father, George Richard Carlisle, Sr. is moving to Texas, so as to be with his
wife's family, he has decided to pass the Carlisle Family Bible on to its rightful
heir, Joseph Carlisle (Born August 14, 1980), at this time, rather than upon his death.
Plans are to present the Bible to Joseph at the annual Lamb Reunion, Sunday, June 9,
2002. Delilah Lamb Married George Washington Carlisle, thus the family connection.
