Could William Carlisle 1710 be the father of Edmund?
In Edgecombe County court Minutes Book II 1763-1774 is found on page 219 a note that the
last will of William Carlisle is proven by Hartwell Philips and William Balamy. Robert
Carlisle Executor.

Apr 5, 1769, May Ct. 1769, wife SARA, one half my personal estate. Estate to be finally
divided between my 2 sons. No sale - settled among themselves.
Son & Excecutor: ROBERT, plantation and land whereon he now liveth, my wife shall have
