Dawn:
I have two Carlisle's on my father's side. William Carlisle, Sr. (my
father's grandfather) born 1868 possibly in Scotland and his son, William,
Jr. born in Elizabeth, NJ. I don't have his birth date on hand but his wife
was Elizabeth.
Let me know if this is of interest to you.
Margaret

Message Board Post:
I am seeking information on Robert C. Carlisle b. January of 1857
according to the
1900 NJ Hunterdon County High Bridge Census.
His wife is simply listed as "Lizzy" which I know was
sometimes used as a
short version of Elizabeth.
Their children were;
John P. CARLISLE b Jan. 1881 m. Elizabeth M. LAMBERT
Della M. CARLISLE b. Sept. 1880 m. Lewis P. MORGAN
William CARLISLE b. Sept. 1884 m. ?
I just found out about their child William so I do not have a known spouse
just
yet.
I have not been able to locate this family on any other census
records in
NJ either.
Both Robert and "Lizzy" have their parents listed as being
born in NJ
also.
Could this "Lizzy" be Elizabeth PACE who married a Robert
CARLISLE?
Robert is my gt. gt. grandfather on my dads side.
TIA
Dawn Carlisle
