Hi, Received your Email. My line is this part is guess. James Carlisle, b. S.C. his son
William Carlisle married Emaline Roberts their daughter was Nancy Abigail (My G.
Grandmother. I found William and James on the l850 census, I guess John had not been
born yet as my Mother said she had known a John Carlisle who was an uncle of some nature.
My Mother passed away in 2000 and was 9l. This was on the l850 Jackson Co. Tenn census.
Will exchange any info. I have so little on her family. I do have a picture of Nancy.
Thanks for responding , Sue Batt

I was very interested in your post. My husband's g-grandfather was a
J.(possibly John)T. Carlisle who married a Nancy Taylor and is buried in
Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, Ms. That is all I have of them. I don't
know where Nancy is buried, but John is buried in the Taylor family plot.
They had a son Manning Walton Carlisle, born in 1864. I would think that
would make John born somewhere between 1820-1845. Does this fit in with any
of your data? This is a HUGE roadblock for me!
