Everything has been so hectic with me lately, I don't know who I have
responded to so if I don't know if I answered your email. I don't have
anything on this William Carlile. The William Carlisle (William Henry
Harrison Carlisle) was born abt 1804 in NC. The name of my William is
interesting because I found a copy of the military record for a Henry
Carlisle who served in the War of 1812 at Fort William Henry Harrison named
for a William Henry Harrison.
I thought this may be the father of my Carlisles because he died in 1812 and
this was the date that my William and his siblings were apprenticed out to
other families, but according to Henry's military record, he didn't enlist
until all of his children were born and if William's birth date is correct,
Henry was not married at that time. Still, it is fascinating.
