I don't know that William Carlisle settled in Iowa. I never heard that, but
I have no info regarding him after 1850. In 1850, he was listed in the
Dekalb County, Georgia, census. Mary (who married a Leatherwood), Margaret
(who married 1st a Teal, 2nd a Smallwood), Arrena (who married a Brown) and
James were his children. All of have of James is the 1850 Census where he
is listed as 14. Any and all help appreciated.

Would this WillIam CARLISLE have settled in Iowa? What relation was
he to James or Margaret? Don't have any info in my file regarding previous
whereabouts of William or who parents were. What was birth date and place
of
your William?
Any help appreciated. You may email direct if preferred. Thanks! Connie
