The Family History Library in Salt Lake City is full of the information from
the various rolls of Indians, and will offer you free advice on how to go
about searching the rolls through microforms, yourself. If you ask who is
the most knowledgeable person available to talk to about Cherokee research
when you make the phone call, they will tell you when that person is
available to take your call (i.e., when he/she's on duty in the FHL). Then
you can reach him/her and pick the brains of the resident expert for free.

We always were told that Sally/Salla/Sarah was married to William
Carlisle
but never were able to find him with her. She was supposed to be indian
too but can't prove that or even what tribe. Cherokee were in SC so I'm
guessing she was Cherokee but when I tried to contact the nation, they
wanted me to pay them for research. I would if I knew they had something,
but not just for them to look at the rolls.
The rolls in OK don't have here name.
Don't know who William was married to but there are 3 of them in SC with
wills.
