Here is Minerva's obit
Grand Rapids Herald, June 6, 1929, pg. 3:
Mrs. Minerva Price, G.R. Teacher, Expires After Long Illness
Mrs. Minerva Carlisle Price, teacher of home economics at Sibley school died at her home
217 Henry Ave., SE., yesterday afternoon following an illness of several months. She was
born in Sparta Aug. 4, 1880, the daugher of Mr. and Mrs. David Carlisle. She was engaged
as teacher in the local schools after the death of her husband, O. D. Price and until her
illness taught at Sibley. She is survived by a daughter, Eleanor, who lives at the Henry
Ave. address; four sisters, Mrs. J. E. Ford, Mrs. A. D. Pratt of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Milton
Perrin and Mrs. Fred Scott of Detroit, and two brothers, David Carlisle of this city, and
John Carlisle of Flint. Funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 4
o'clock, Rev. George H. McClung, pastor of First Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Price
was a member, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetary.
