Norman C. Creeks Jr., 81,
of West Deer Township,
died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011.
Born Sept. 1, 1929, in Bakerstown,
he was the son of the late Norman C. and Carrie (Carlisle) Creeks Sr.
Norman worked for Peoples National Gas Co.
for more than 40 years. He was a longtime member of the Little League coach for the West
Deer Baseball Association and was a leader for Boy Scout Troop No. 653, Bakerstown. He was
the beloved husband for 61 years of Janet L. (McCormick) Creeks, whom he married June 16,
1950; loving father of Vicky (Lew) McKinney, of Cranberry Township, Larry (Leila) Creeks,
of Saxonburg, and Amy Creeks, of Zelienople; brother of Hazel Boliver, of Richland
Township, and the late Jack Creeks; and proud grandfather of Scott Creeks, of Cranberry
Township, and Christopher Creeks, of Zelienople. Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown,
PA 15007 (250 yards off Route 8). Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the
funeral home with interment to follow in Evans City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be sent to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant St., 37th
Floor, Pittsburgh, P!
