Surname: CARLISLE, DAVIS, ANGLIN
-------------------------
I have traced my gggrandfather back to the 1850 Alabama Census (Pickens
044) So. Dist.:
John Carlisle (35 - farmer - b.SC)
Hetta (42 - b.SC)
Caroline (20 - b.Ala)
Julian P. (11 - b.Ala) (could be Julia -f)
Elbert (9 - b.Ala.)
Cullmiller (6 - b.Ala) (correct name Camilla)
Melvina (3 - b.Ala)
John E. (1 - b.Ala)
Elizabeth Davis (60 - b.SC) (mother?)
On the same census living close by and believe to be an older brother:
James B. Carlisle (40 - farmer)
Jane (30)
Nancy E. (2)
Camilla was born in Pickens County, AL in 1844 and was married for the
first time in Monroe, La. in 1865. Second marriage to Boyette, and third
marriage to Benjamin N. Anglin in Columbia Co. Ark.
John "Ned" Carlisle joined the Confederate Army on March, 1862 at Lisbon,
La.
Would like to know if anyone has a connection to this family.
