Subject: Re: [CARLISLE] CARLISLE Digest, Vol 3, Issue 33
My gggrandmother was Sally-Salla-Sarah Carlyle-Carlisle or who knows what
spelling. Sally was born in SC about 1820's and was on the 1860 census in
Fairfield, SC. She was with daughter N.J. (Nancy) 12 years and daughter
R.C. (Rebecca) 2 years. There was no other person listed.
The next time I find them is in Sandy Mush, NC 1880 census all listed plus
Tom Clark who was Rebeccas husband and Rebeccas daughter M.J.(Mamie) who was
2.
I found Rebecca in 1900 and 1910 in Madison Co. NC and then Sandy Mush again
then nothing.
I am trying to find who was Rebeccas father. Who was Mamies father and if
there was a brother of Rebecca who died in the war of measles. We always
thought William was Sallys husband but their were 3 Willialm in SC all with
wills, married to other women but not to Sally.
Anyone have any help out there? Thanks, Margaret
