Thank you for doing a roll call. Such an action seems to be anathema
elsewhere, but it is the only way to keep lists active and viable! I appreciate you!
I am always interested in knowing any information about anyone in this line:
Richard Carlisle/Mary Tatum
William Carlisle/Sarah Bell
Robert Carlisle/Sarah Coleman
Coleman Carlisle/ Hannah Thompson Glenn
James Glenn Carlisle/Nancy Hawker Selby
Hawker Owen Carlisle/Elizabeth Walker Ames
Missouri Alice Carlisle/Abner Berryman Knight
Clark Knight/Clarice Emma Smith
Mary Ruth Knight McGarr
I also have much to share if anyone else is interested.
Mary Knight McGarr

This gentleman has been my brickwall for a long time. He appeared in Scott County, IL when he married my great great grandmother, Martha Bryant. After she died around 1871, he showed up in Jersey County, married to a widow, Ann Trammell. They moved to Angelina County, TX around 1878 and she died. John and Martha's son was John Thomas Carlisle. He was killed in a wagon accident in 1894. I have never been able to find John Layton prior to 1865.
Hiya folks,
Could we please have a roll call of your names that you are researching, I
would like to do this kind of thing about once a month for any newbies on
the list.
Thanking you in anticipation.
