We've added a listing for Ernest B. Carlin, Esq. to our "Carlins in West
Virginia" webpage,
http://www.attorney.carlin.net/CA-westvirginia.htm.
The writeup is based on inf. that says that Mr. Carlin was "Educated in
public schools, Graduated at WV Conference Seminary, 1897, and completed law
course, WV State University, 1906. Member, WV House of Delegates,
1903-1905. Commissioned Captain Co. B, 1st Regt. WV National Guard 1903.
Member Sutton Lodge No 21, A.F.&A.M., Sutton Chapter No 29,. Lodge No. 73,
K. of P., and Tribe No 40 I.O.R.M."
This was much too early for him to have been a "Survivor" contestant, but he
did belong to an I.O.R.M. tribe. Does anyone know what these letters stand
for? I assume I.O. = International Order of.... .
Thanks.
