As of now, you can reach all Carlin Archives webpages by using the
newly-acquired domain,
www.CarlinArchives.com .
I had this domain for a year, free, but there were occasional
glitches. Since then I've gone back to the old
www.attorney.carlin.net, but I've now purchased
www.CarlinArchives.com, and that address appears to work without
glitches. Let's hope it continues problem-free!
To get to the Table of Contents page, go to
http://www.CarlinArchives.com. To go directly to any other page, just
insert the proper address for that page. For example, to get to the
list of Carlin Genealogists, go to
www.CarlinArchives.com/ref/genealogy.htm . To see the list of the
progenitors of the 50+ Carlin family lines on our website, go to
www.CarlinArchives.com/ref/founders.htm .
To find Carlin veterans, go to
http://www.CarlinArchives.com/mil/veterans.htm . That page will be
your entranceway to pages for each military conflict in which Carlins
have served.
To see current Carlin information -- information about Carlins
today -- go to
www.CarlinArchives.com/ref/today.htm . Here you'll see
lists of Carlin men and women by profession, occupation or career, and
also access lists of Carlins by country and state.
For information about the origins of the Carlin name, go to
www.CarlinArchives.com/ref/variants.htm .
If you have any questions, or encounter any difficulties, write to
helpdesk(a)CarlinArchives.com. If you're in England or anywhere in
Europe, you can also write to helpdesk(a)carlin.org.uk .
If you have any corrections or suggestions for change, or new
information to add to the website, please write to me. You can use
fred(a)CarlinArchives.com or fred.carlin(a)att.net , whichever you prefer.
Final note:
I have purchased web hosting services, and will soon transfer all the
data to the new servers. Right now all these data are on the servers
at
Carlin.net, which is the
NetIdentity.com /
MailBank.com firm. The
cost of the new servers will be more than I now pay for the
NetIdentity servers, but I think this new service will be considerably
faster. Plus it'll be a lot easier for me to deal with when problems
occur; I am personally less than ecstatic about
NetIdentity.com.
I will maintain all our data on both servers until everything is
working smoothly on the new site. I assume that glitches are
inevitable, and I don't want our data hurt in any way. Thus, the
obviously-needed backups, plus redundant servers.
This is almost getting to look professional!

BTW,
you can also try
http://@CarlinArchives.com
It's a very strange address, but it works.
It gets you to the "welcome" page.
Please don't ask me how this happens,
because I am completely at a loss to explain it!
