Message from Francis concerning Mary Kelly and ? Carlin from " Kilkinney
Co. Clark"
Kilkinney may be a Townland in which case you are lucky because if you can
find it
you will be able to pinpoint your search BUT I have not heard of county
Clark
Possibly county Clare or Cork?
I suggest that you check your place name reference -
May be : Killarney Co. Kerry.
or
Kilkenny West Parish (of Church of Ireland) in County Westmeath
in which case registers exist from 1783
Otherwise see:
Brian Mitchell "Irish Parish Registers" 1988, Genealogical Publishing co.
Baltimore Maryland. or an Irish Gazetteer
I do not know where you have got to but a starting point would be as
follows:
The General Register Office
Joyce House
8-11Lombard Street East
DUBLIN 2
Ireland
who have Certificates for, and indexes to, Irish marriages for non Roman
Catholics from 1 Apl 1845
and for Roman Catholics from 1 Jan 1864. Also Births and Deaths.
I suggest that you find/order mirroring/fiches copies of these indexes
from your local LDS Family History Centre and then write to Dublin for the
Certificate
Mary Kelly is a rather frequently found name but you might just find it
given that you
know the place and groom's surname.
Good Luck
Colin Carlin
