Correction. This comes from Elmer Watson, whose correct email address is
ElmeWatson(a)webtv.com .
Maybe we can help each other I'am lost. Bert Barry said he didn't have any
info on the Carlins of NJ. Here's my story. I am a beginner so have
patience.
John Carlin Br. 1881 his wife Br. 83, along with children
Samuel L Carlin Br. 7/5/69 , Laura M Br. 4/27/70 (my Grandmother),
Florence M. Brn 9/12/73 and Albert B Brn. 10/22/76 came to the Wash.
Terr. between 76- 79 Taken from Census .
This census shows all born
in N.J. as were their parents. They moved here with another family
from Penn and I think they must have live near one another back there,
I heard the Carlin"s were in Burlington county ????
They moved here
with James Watson, Br 9/26/1831 (Penn) he had married Roby E Blowers
12/10/56 James Watson' was the only one of the family that come west.
His father John Watson Br 8/31/07 dec'd 4/29/86 his wife Derinda
Ackerman Br. 1/2/07 dec'd 3/24/85 the others back there were Sarah Jane
Br 10/27/29 Married Henry Webster and then John Whalin l868 dec'd
2/19/l912 Betsy Ann Brn 10/14/38 married Anthony Storms 12/.2/59 dec'd
12/12/76 Susan Ellen brn 10/10/44 married Oscar Skinner 11/14/69
Dec'd???? Alanzo Watson Brn 5/2/49 married Henneritta Scranton all
of Penn.
From all I know these familys lived close together in NJ and
Penn. before coming west to Whidbey Island . Wash. Terr. I haven't been
able to find out what or where from NJ & Penn. Any info you have would
be appreciated.

Elmer:
Here's the message posted to the Carlin-L list. I need to ask you to
reverify your dates. John Carlin, the first name, is shown as born in 1881
but having moved to Whidbey Island, WA, prior to 1880. Are the DOB's
for John and his wife accurate?
Everyone else:
I've corrected the spelling of Whidbey Island in the above message; Whidbey,
as it now appears, is correct. This is Island County, Washington. I know
there were Carlins in early Washignton State, but don't know anythng about
them, or any details. So anyone who can help Elmer will also be helping the
Carlin Archives find out what we need for the Washington State page, which
is now blank.
