We've just completed an extensive and detailed genealogical breakdown of
Hugh Webb Carlin and Martha "Patsey" Pemberton that now has been published
at The Carlin Archives Online. The URL is
http://www.attorney.carlin.net/hughwebb.htm .
This is an extraordinarily detailed breakdown, and encompasses more than
1,500 lines of HTML code. The principal genealogical researcher for the
Hugh Webb Carlin webpage was Don Tadlock of Atlanta, one of Hugh's
descendants. Don is a civil engineer by profession, and also holds a night
job as a senior consultant to The Carlin Archives, for which he does a lot
of excellent work. (Hey, Don, as always, thank you!)
Hugh Webb Carlin was b. Jan. 28, 1799 at Elk or Stewarts Creek, Patrick Co.,
Virginia, and d. Oct. 1, 1851 at Saline Co., IL, at age 52. He was the third
child of Patsey Ann Webb and James Carlin, and a grandson of Daniel Carlin
(ca. 1750 - ca. 1820), and Daniel's first wife, Elizabeth Duffy/Rogan.
Daniel Carlin had been a captain in the Henry County (Virginia) Militia
during the Revolutionary War, and later served as a highly-respected judge
in Virginia.
The overall Daniel Carlin webpage is at
http://www.attorney.carlin.net/daniel1774.htm . That page lists Hugh Webb
Carlin and Patsey Pemberton, but the detailed Hugh and Patsey sept is broken
out onto a separate webpage, which has just been completed and posted to the
web.
With the posting of this Hugh Webb Carlin webpage, our listings for the
Daniel Carlin / Elizabeth Duffy/Rogan family now encompass ten generations!
