Thanks to Sandi Pergande, we now have a Carlon listed
on our "Carlins in the Spanish-American War" webpage,
http://www.carlinarchives.com/carlin-w-span-am.htm .
If that direct link doesn't work (sometimes it does, sometimes
it doesn't), try this URL, which will always work:
http://www.attorney.carlin.net/carlin-w-span-am.htm
We have Carlins, Carlons, Carlans, Carlands, Carolans, etc.,
who have served in every American war, from the Revolutionary
War through the Gulf War. But until an hour or so ago, our
Spanish-American War webpage was an outline only, with no
names. Now, thanks to Sandi's research, we're able to add
the name of
William Edgar Carlon
(1872 - 1940)
to the Roll of Honor of those who served in our nation's Armed
Forces during wartime. William E. Carlon was a son of Macey
Stevenson and Joseph William Carlon, and a descendant of
Elizabeth Caldwell and Joseph Carlon (nee Carlin).
For our Roll of Honor lists of Carlins, Carlons, etc., who served
in other wars, please go to
http://www.attorney.carlin.net/veterans.htm .
For Carlins, Carlons, etc., who served in the Marine Corps,
please go to
http://www.attorney.carlin.net/carlin-marinecorps.htm .
For Carlins, Carlons, etc., who earned the Purple Heart,
please go to

There's also a Carlon who served our nation during the Mexican
War, Barnett "Barney" Carlon, although Barney is not related to the
Elizabeth Caldwell / Joseph Carlon sept. Barney Carlon, a
carpenter from Pike County, IN, was b. in PA in 1821, and d. at
Pike Co. sometime before 1870. The webpage discussing him
is at
http://www.attorney.carlin.net/carlon-pikecounty.htm .
