I've been trying, without success, to find two Carlin-related books. Neither
is available through my local library or inter-library loan, and neither is
available at
Barnes&Noble.com or
amazon.com.
1.
In the Heart of the Bitterroot Mountains: The Story of the Carlin Hunting
Party of 1893, by Abraham Lincoln Himmelwright.
paperback, 132 pp., Mountain Meadow Press, Nov. 1993
I know that the Bitterroot Mountain Range is located in Idaho and Montana,
but I've never heard about the Carlin Hunting Party.
2.
Carlin School, A History Book: The Story of a School in Ravenna, Ohio, U. S.
A.
by Lois F. Lewis
no ISDN number available, and I am unable to find the name of the book's
publisher, but the book is listed at
b&n.com.
also, I am totally unaware of a school known as the Carlin School in
Ravenna, OH.
Eventually, I will obtain these books. But right now I have two questions:
1. Is anyone on this list familiar with the "Carlin Hunting Party of 1893,"
that is, with the event (as opposed to the book itself)?
2. Has anyone ever heard about the Carlin School in Ravenna, OH?
Thanks.
