Jane, This is a note I sent to Family Puzzlers about information I recently
researched at the SC Archives.

40. Dead before Oct. 15th, 1834. Occupation listed as InnKeeper. Wife
Hannah admin. estate and sued John Grayson in 1835 for funds due
theestate. Hannah is listed on the 1850 Perry Co.,MS Census as living
with Jehu Carlile.
Jehu Carlile is listed on the 1830 Charleston SC Census as age 20-30
(25) and living
with a female age 50 to 60. He is listed on the 1850 Perry Co. Census as
age 45
with Sarah age 31, Mary age 13, Hannah age 45 and William Grayson age
20.
Can anyone connect these Carliles to earlier Carliles (1700 to 1800).
