Hi everyone,
I couldn't remember if I had posted my ancestors since joining the mailing
list or not. Below is my CARLISLE information. I have been trying to find
the wives of Thomas, John B. and Thomas M. for a long time. I descend from
Elizabeth Carlisle Womack, who was my Great-Grandmother, she married Richard
Willard Womack.
Below you will see that Syntha Ann Pierce, wife of Thomas M. Carlisle (d.
1864),
had to swear allegiance to the Confederate States before she could be
approved
to be the adminestratrix of Thomas M. Carlisle's estate. I have never seen
this
before and 98% of my ancestors were from the south... It was sure
ineresting to me, so
thought someone else might like to see it too. You can find the darndest
records
if you look hard enough! <G>
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You... Markie
