My guess is that the Priscilla Carlisle, listed in the 1860 Livingston Co.,
Illinois FC in Nevada Twp, is from Guernsey Co., OH and that Mary Kyle is
her older sister. I would also venture to say that the John Carlisle (wtih
family) listed just below Priscilla on that same page is a brother of
Priscilla and Mary, and he is definately from Guernsey Co., OH (and listed
in the 1850 census), as is the Kyle family.
If you look in the 1850 census in Guernsey Co., OH, Fairview Twp., you will
find that an Ellen Carlisle, 45, VA, is living with Stephen and Mary Kyle. I
suspect that Ellen is Mary's mother, and is living with her to assist with
the family while Mary is pregnant with another child. There is a Lowery
Carlisle (46, PA) family, also listed in Guernsey Co., with several children
and no wife. I suspect Ellen is the missing wife.
There is a female child named Jane in the Lowery Carlisle family who is the
correct age for Priscilla, and I think the odds are pretty good that Jane
and Priscilla are one in the same. If you were to check out all of the
census records on these families, i.e., check in 1860 to see if Ellen and
Lowery are back together, unless one of them died, you may find this family
is Priscilla's family.
You may also want to follow Priscilla's sister, Mary Kyle, who remarried 13
Mar 1866 to a Ransellear Springer in Livingston Co., to see if Priscilla
shows up in the 1870 census. There is a Priscilla Carlisle who married in
Cook Co., IL to a Thomas Vaughn 5 Jan 1887, but that may be a different
person.

Does anyone have any information on Priscilla Carli(s)le who shows up
in
the US Fed Census of 1860 at age 22, born in Ohio and living in Nevada,
Livingston county, Iowa. She is single here and is living with the Kyle
family.

I don't have a clue. My Carlile's are from PA (about 1795), possibly WV,
then Carroll Co, OH, Tuscarawas Co., OH, and then westward from there.
