There is always that possibility, but finding a connection might be rather
difficult. I am told that my Whitcraft family came from County Caven in
Ireland, and that my Carlile family came from Northern Ireland.

Our Carlile family came from Mifflin Co. Pa and settled in Trumbull

relation?

I believe they were from the Washington Co., PA area, but have not been
able
to confirm it. I am told that they came to the U.S. from Ireland about
1790-1795, and lived in PA (1800), then to Brooke Co., VA (1810 Census) and
Tuscarawas Co., OH (1820), but there is a Wm. Carlisle and John Whitcraft
both listed in New London, Chester Co., PA in 1790, so that seems quite a
coincidence to me, as my Carlile family married into the John Whitcraft
family.
