I've "rescued" an old photograph of Albert
Kenneth CARLILE which was taken
at the Perry Ellis Studio in Hillsboro, OR.
The photograph appears to have
been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's and
indicates that Albert is 3
months and 15 days old at the time. Based on
limited research I was able to
locate the following information regarding
Albert and his family:
Albert Kenneth CARLILE was b. 11 Sept 1899 in
Oregon to parents Albert M.
CARLILE (b. 21 Jun 1869 in Crawford Co. IL - d. 11
Oct 1961 in Hillsboro,
OR) and Orpha Sarah JAMES (b. 25 Dec 1870 in Marshall
Co. IN-d. 17 Dec 1958
in Hillsboro, OR). It appears that Albert was an only
child. Albert
married Eva Kathryn EMMOTT (b. 16 Oct 1899 in Shelton, WA to
parents Louis
F. EMMOTT and Minnie Catherine O'DONALD- d. 13 Mar 2006 in
Vancouver, WA)
and the couple had two children, one a son Robert Wallace
CARLILE
(1924-1992). In 1952 Albert and his wife Eva CARLILE were onboard the
Ship
Lurline on their way to Honolulu, Hawaii.
Albert died 3 Dec 1961
in Vancouver, WA.
Census records provide the following details:
1910 census of Hillsboro, OR:
Albert M. CARLILE, age 40, married 16
years, born IL, parents born IL, a
Harness Maker
Sarah O. CARLILE, wife, age
39, married 16 years, 1 child/1 living, born IN,
parents born OH
Kenneth A.
CARLILE, son, age 16, born OR
1920 census of Hillsboro, OR:
A.
M. CARLILE, age 49, born IL, parents born USA, a Harness Maker
Orpha CARLILE,
wife, age 49, born IN, parents born OH
A. Kenneth CARLILE, son, age 20, born
OR
1930 census of Vancouver, WA:
Albert K. CARLILE, age 30,
married at age 21, born OR, parents born IN/KS,
an Oil Station Manager
Eva
K. CARLILE, wife, age 30, married at age 21, born WA, parents born IA
Robert
W. CARLILE, son, age 6, born OR
Kenneth R. CARLILE, son, age 1 year + 9
months, born OR
1940 census of Vancouver, WA:
Albert K. CARLILE,
age 40, born OR, a Petroleum Station Manager
Eva K. CARLILE, wife, age 40,
born WA
Robert CARLILE, son, age 16, born OR
Dick CARLILE, son, age 11,
born OR
I am hoping to locate someone from this CARLILE Family so that
the
photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member
of
this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley

Those names don't fit my line. I hope someone will
benefit from your rescue of the photos.

Hi Shirley:
I do know the family line, and I was
going to contact them for you;
however, the phone number I had is no longer a
working number, so I could
not contact them by phone, and I completely forgot
to get back with you. I
apologize for that.
Albert's son Kenneth R. Carlile
(He goes by Richard) and his wife Janet,
were last living in Lincoln City,
Oregon. There last known address was as
follows:
Kenneth Richard
Carlile
420 Sea Grove Loop
Lincoln City, Oregon 97367
As far as I
know (at least the last time I called them) they did not use
the Internet. Both
of them are in their 80's. Albert's other son Robert
died in 1992. Both Robert
and Richard had children, but I do not know where
their children are
living.
