Hello to your roll call. I am CW Carlile of Texas and I am researching the ancestors of
my Texas Carlile/Carlyle/Carlisle line.
The earliest name I have in this line is Richard Dixon Carlile/Carlyle/Carlisle. Per an
LDS entry he was married in Erath Co, TX in 1859 to Susan McAdams but the courthouse was
destroyed by fire and they lost all the early records so I can't check that.
If anyone has documented info regarding the marriage of Richard Dixon and Susan E. McAdams
I would appreciate your contacting me.
The1900 census for his son Thomas indicates that Richard was born in MS and in the1920
census for Thomas indicates Richard was born in IL.
My earliest documented record of him is in Sequin, Guadalupe Co, TX, in the 1870 census
as follows.
1870 > TEXAS > GUADALUPE > SEGUIN P O

that time period.
