Judy, on reading Mark's contribution of information on that Joseph and associated
dates, it seems to me as if this older Joseph fits in the same generation as Peter, father
of Joseph of Whitingham. We don't have other siblings of this Peter (parent of Joseph
of Whitingham), son of Bartholomew. This Joseph of Fairfield area would fit that age
category of Peter just about right tri be a sib. Joseph of Whitingham was born in 1717
to Peter and in Leicester, while Joseph of Fairfield is wandering around full grown in
1720.
Re the Washburn connection in CT, the Washburn's didn't meet up with the Carley
line of mine until getting into Leicester, MA, so earlier connections to this line
won't make a difference to this Joseph of Whitingham Carley line.
Looking at all the Peter's and Joseph's, it would appear there is a line
connection, but maybe higher at the Bartholomew generation.
Just a thought to think on...
