Jonathan and Jenny can be found in the 1790 Census in Frederickstown,
Dutchess Co., NY, prior to their arrival in Sidney, Delaware Co., NY, with 1 male
over 16 (Jonathan), 3 males under 16 (Adrien, John and Johnathan, Jr.), and 4
females.
I've been chasing Adrien, eldest son of Jonathan and Jenny, and have found
him and Jonathan and Jenny in the 1830 Fed. Census living in Hounsfield,
Jefferson Co., NY - Their names appear one over the other and Jonathan and Jenny
work out to have been born in the 1750s. He Jonathan then is in Philadelphia,
Jefferson, NY in 1840 - the ages are about 10 years off but can be attributed to
the timing of the taking of the census or to putting the check in the wrong
column, which is not too uncommon a problem. The real question is why an
elderly cripple would have gone off to live in Jefferson Co---?? We know Adrien's
wife Abigail had mental problems as she could not act as executor when he died
so the son-in-law - Jonathan Murwin - had to act to probate but that was not
in Hounsfield or in Jefferson Co. Also, weren't Joseph, father of Quartus and
also Quartus - living in Hounsfield @ 1820-30? I just found this stuff last
night and haven't had a chance to develope this as yet - but wanted you to
know what has been found.
