OK, but this has got to be it for a while --
In the Will of William Kerly, Sr. of 1670, he leaves a small sum to a John Divoll. This
is the only supposedly non-family member mentioned in his Will. As it turned out, John
Divoll was married to another of the White sisters, we've already mentioned Elizabeth
who married Capt. Henry Kerley, and Joanne who married Capt Thomas Fiske - Now we have
Hannah, who had married John Divoll. John and Elizabeth were both killed, along with
some of their children in the Massacre at Lancaster in Feb. 1676, as witnessed and
recorded by another White sister, Mary, wife of the Rev. Joseph Rowlandson - Why was John
in William Sr's Will? It is thought that his wife Hannah White was the namesake of
William's wife Ann White Kerly - H(ann)ah. But this gets even more involved. Hannah
and John Divoll had a daughter Hannah who married James Keyes, Sr., and they had a
daughter named Sarah who married a Phillip Brookins, who had a sister named Susannah, who
married an Abraham Carley who was!
the son of William and Mary Bowden Carley and William was the son of Capt. Henry and his
second wife, Elizabeth Ward. It's hard to imagine Christmas shopping for this bunch
of folks, don't you think?
