Carleys Bridge in Ireland is a stone bridge over a small stream, just
outside Enniscorthy, County Wexford. Constructed a long time ago....

I have lots of this and more, the name comes from Curly and other
variations probably going back to an Irish word for a bridge over a
brook. There seem to be several Carley lines, and mine comes from the
early 1700's in MA area.
I suspect, however, that if a DNA was done on everyone with the name
Carley, we would have more common genes than we all suspect. This was
done with the family Seabrook years ago, and they were, indeed, not
only sharing a name but blood lines. Not that they were all very
happy about it . . .wonderful, long article in New Yorker mag about
4-5 years ago.
